Virtual Home Buying...We Can do That!
While current events make buying a home, sight unseen, a more common occurrence than it was before, it’s not new to us. For several years, we’ve leveraged technology for every part of the purchasing process. From consultations, to viewing properties, to signing paperwork, to closing—we can do it all without requiring any in-person interactions.
Here’s how…
Virtual Consultations
Zoom is our platform of choice for virtual consultations. This is an opportunity for us to learn what you’re looking for in your new home. We’ll also walk you through what the real estate market is doing now and how that might impact your search. You can ask as many questions of us as you’d like!
Start Looking
Now we’ll start sending you listings to look at online. As you provide feedback on what we send—what you love and what you don’t—we’ll refine our search. In addition to listing photos, we’ll send you information about the neighborhood, the property and market analyses so you know whether the listing price is competitive or not.
Virtual Home Tour
Even tours can be done virtually. Some listings have high-quality video tours done by the listing agent. When a listing you’re interested has one of those, we’ll send you the link. But we can also go to the property with our video camera and, using Zoom or FaceTime, walk you through and answer any questions you have as we tour the home.
Sign Electronically
Every document related to your purchase can be signed electronically, making the paperwork part of purchasing a home fast, easy and efficient. If you have questions on any of the documents you receive during the course of the transaction, we can jump on Zoom and go over them together.
Earnest Money
Once you’ve found a property you love and had your offer accepted, we’ll assist you with wiring the earnest money to escrow. But if wiring doesn’t work for you, we’ll come pick-up your check and hand-deliver it to escrow.
Home Inspection
Home inspections can be completed, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. The inspector will conduct an inspection and then send their report. We will review the report together and can even schedule a Zoom call with the inspector so that you can ask any questions you have about the property.
Closing & Keys
There are virtual options for closing as well, including mobile notaries and digital signature software. We’ll arrange to drop off keys, garage door openers and anything else the seller provides to you at your new home.
