I was recently in a conversation about timeliness. The question was posed: is there such a thing as “too early”? We discussed it a little and I came to the conclusion that I’m okay with being THAT person who is going to be intentional and do my best to be early whenever possible.
My husband is someone who is always early and I love that about him. He says you should be so early that you could get a flat tire, fix it and STILL be on time. Funny story - that’s actually happened to him on the way to a showing appointment and he still made it to the house before the client got there!
It’s not always going to work out perfectly but whenever possible, we can plan ahead and do everything in our power to be early. Life happens and factors take place that we can’t control, however being early can help smooth out some bumps.
So funny story that actually happened to me. This picture is of me yesterday. I had the privilege of teaching at the KW office in Vancouver, WA.
Surprise, surprise, I got there early!
Soooooo early that I was able to drive around a little to get familiar with my surroundings. I saw a cemetery, gas station, some cool new homes and then I saw a sign that said “Rosycakes Bakery -Cinnamon Buns”. Sign from heaven? Of course! You see, my Dad was a baker. Seeing that sign, instantly made smile -I had to check it out! When I walked in, there was an amazing assortment of handmade baked yummy goodness. I ended up enjoying a Lemon Blueberry Scone (just like my dad used to make) and as I sat there enjoying every bite, I was reminded of funny memories of my Dad and it made my heart so happy. 💗All the jitters and nerves about teaching to a room of strangers were gone. I was settled and expectant for a fabulous class ahead. I drove to the office and went in to get set up and to my surprise I had a wardrobe malfunction!!!!! I had to laugh because I was soooooo early, I STILL had time to fix it, set up the training room and not feel flustered before class started. I enjoyed an incredible time teaching and getting to know a new group of friends. When I got in my car, I was so happy I broke into spontaneous new song.
There’s a sense of purpose and joy when I teach in any format- one on one- big or small groups. I love story telling, brainstorming and inspiring others!
So the moral of the story? I’m not perfect and I can learn a lesson: Time block your calendar and whenever possible, be EARLY. You never know when you’re gonna have a wardrobe malfunction, see a sign that causes you to go down sweet memory lane or fix a flat tire and STILL be on time.

While Habits of Millionaires is a catchy title, it’s so much more than that. I want to communicate that creating the life or career we want, is very often a matter of copying the little habits and attitudes of other people who are already living it. So while it’s not always easy, the approach can be simple.
The great thing is that these foundational perspectives apply across industries, so you don’t have to be a real estate agent to reap the rewards of applying them in your life.
And the even better news is that I’m teaching this class online, in 30-minute, weekly sessions.
